Welcome to "Friends of Crescendo"!

This web page is devoted to a very supportive group of people which we like to refer to as the "Friends of Crescendo".

The purpose of providing this unique page is to pay tribute to those people and to enable us to thank them in a more public way. Supporting friends contribute 5 euros a year toward the significant running expenses of the 50-strong mixed chorus. Since the vast majority of concert "gate money" goes directly to one or another charity, this support is essential.

Friends of Crescendo are welcomed at rehearsals and concerts, and encouraged to help wherever they are able. We have many friends who feel they do not have the talent to sing in the choir but simply love the music and being able to contribute in other ways.

For those Friends who are able to receive email, occasional information about upcoming concerts and social events is sent to them. There are two choir members who look after our Friends; they are Alyson Horsfall and Pauline Colgrave, and they will make sure that emails go out in good time. They can also be contacted at the email addresses on the "Contact Us" page. For those Friends who do not have the advantage of home access to the internet, this website can be connected to from any Internet Cafe. These are to be found in most towns and suburbs. Just keep in mind the name "www.crescendo-choir.com"!

Of course, this web page is the main contact point for Friends of Crescendo and a click on the panel to the right gives details of "Social Events". Concert details are always shown on the "Events" link at the top of each web page.

We really hope that you will enjoy the experience of being involved with Crescendo. We are a very enthusiastic chorus and love what we do! And it is made all the better by knowing that we are helping several worthwhile charities at the same time.
